Fixed Periodic Payment of Net Income

The standard periodic payment of net wages can be entered under the employee's details by modifying the salary. Here, under the payment section, you can add a bank account number by selecting the appropriate bank code for the employee. You can choose from various banks available in your country. If the full amount needs to be paid out, you can indicate this by checking the box for the full amount. You can also specify whether the amount should always be rounded.

If your chosen bank is not listed, you can set the employee's bank to 'Other bank' and provide the name of the bank. However, you cannot include this other bank in a payment file. Please inform our support department via email at support@celerypayroll.com about any missing banks. We regularly update our program with features suggested by customers, so your input is very important to us.

Periodic Fixed Amount to Another Account

If you want to transfer a fixed amount each period to the employee's (ex-)partner or savings account, you can easily set this up in the same way as above, with the adjustment that you enter the amount to be periodically transferred instead of checking the box for the full amount (see Payment screenshot: number 2).

However, you cannot adjust this amount during the periodic payroll processing, making this option unsuitable for wage garnishments and variable payments to third parties. If you want to adjust the amount monthly, choose the option for payments with a fixed wage code. These amounts can also be automatically included in a payment file if desired.

Rounding Amounts

You can specify in the payment whether it should be rounded to whole amounts. Depending on your tax country, rounding is applied to your currency. You can make various choices in this regard. The payment differences are recorded under wage code 990 and are visible on the payslips.

Displaying Amounts in Another Currency on the Payslip

If you want to display the salary in the regular currency as well as in another currency on the payslip, you can indicate this in the payment settings (see Payment screenshot: number 3).

More information about setting up alternative currencies can be found in our explanation about currencies.

Payment via a Fixed Wage Code

Within Celery, you can withhold amounts under various wage codes, and these amounts can also be transferred to a bank account.

The amount entered under these wage codes can be adjusted once in the current payroll run if desired.

More information about creating wage codes with a balance can be found in our explanation about wage codes with a balance.

If you want to pay out all the above amounts in a payment file suitable for your bank, you can read in our explanation about payment files how this works.
