I entered children but the child deduction or child allowance is still unavailable, why is that?
Celery checks the birth-date of children and if they are too old which indicates that the employee is not entitled to this benefit, this option remains unavailable. This check is done by Celery to avoid wrong salary calculations.
Please be aware that you have to enter the child status on January 1 of each year, because whether you may or may not apply this benefit is based on the child situation and age on this date. So if the child status or situation changes during the year, please do not change it until you have opened the next fiscal year in Celery.
