Too much / too little Wage Tax is deducted from an employee, how is that possible?

  • Modified on: Tue, 26 Jun, 2018 at 12:27 PM

Did this employee enter or leave in the course of this month? If so, in that case Celery asks for the number of hours worked and also the number of working days in this payment period.

Is it possible you have entered an incorrect number of working days?

Celery asks for the number of working days (no calendar days!) of this employee in this month, because for the calculation of the Wage Tax the Daily Wage Tax Table should be applied. In this case, we are not allowed to apply the Monthly Wage Tax Table.

For a correct calculation of the Wage Tax, the correct number of working days must be entered.

If you enter a too low number of working days, Celery will deduct too much Wage Tax.

If you enter a too high number of working days, Celery will deduct a too low amount or no Wage Tax.
