HRM - step 1: Preparing the setup

Before you start — a quick checklist

Go through these steps first. They help you set up leave correctly in the system.

1 — Gather your leave information

  1. Write down all the types of leave you offer. Think about vacation days, sick leave, and other leave arrangements — like extra days based on age or years of service, or special leave for moving, the birth of a child, or getting married.
  2. Do you have part-time employees? If they get the same leave as full-timers, but adjusted to their part-time percentage, you can add them to the same leave plans as full-timers. The system will automatically calculate their leave balance based on their part-time percentage.
  3. Do you have hourly workers? If they get the same leave as full-timers, but adjusted to their hours worked, you can add them to the same leave plans as full-timers. The system will automatically calculate their leave balance based on their hours worked.
  4. Do you use fixed work schedules? Write down all the fixed schedules you use.
  5. Write down the opening leave balances. You can enter these per employee as a starting balance on the date you start using the leave plans.
